3sixteen: Arrives Next Week!
3sixteen's long awaited new denim production is finally ready and we expect them to land in store next week. With this season's production, 3sixteen is introducing a new fabric which has been custom designed and exclusive to 3sixteen. It is a 14.5oz high slub selvedge denim woven in Japan which has been sanforized, skewed, and singed. Though the fabric has been singed, it is still not heavily processed and the surface will have a hairiness and slub. What we like about it is that to the untrained eye, it looks clean and uniform (so it functions well as a dressier jean), but for someone who knows what they're looking for, they'll be able to spot some interesting facets about the textile. Compared to the 3sixteen previous fabric, this denim will be slightly heavier and have an even softer feel with more intricate details.
Founded in 2003 in New York City's Lower East Side, 3sixteen aims to create collections that demonstrate longevity in both design and construction by producing clothing that will hold up to extensive wear and remain relevant season after season. The brand's aesthetic is built upon utilitarian silhouettes from decades past that are updated with premium materials and modern fits. The majority of the collection is handsewn in the USA of the finest fabrics, ensuring that every piece has a compelling story to tell.
3sixteen has a strong following among denim enthusiast and what makes 3sixteen stand out in the denim world is their minimalistic approach in design, the custom made fabrics from Japan, and their two staple fits. Our first shipment will include both of the 3sixteen denim fits (slim straight, slim tapered) in raw selvedge indigo and slim tapered in raw selvedge black.
