if you have been following this blog for sometime, you would have known i am a big balenciaga fan. their menswear pieces are hard to come by and just not many stocklists around. and even with several locations selling balenciaga menswear in london, buyers sometimes just do not stock the pieces that i want. hence i really love yoox.com, an online treasure trove full of past season products, some dating back several years too. it's like net-a-porter's theoutnet.com, but with menswear!

pardon the really drab display. when you are paddling high end designer goods (outlet or not), photography and styling really sells. look past the terrible styling and you'll find an amazing padded quilted biker jacket, and a wool coat with zip details, both key pieces from balenciaga fall winter 2009:
balenciaga fall winter 2009 / balenciaga.comthe green quilted jacket is my absolute favourite from that collection, but i couldn't find one in my size in london, so i opted for the version in black, which i love so dearly, it's my favourite winter jacket right now. i opted for one size smaller for a really snug fit, but otherwise true to size is my advise. the jacket originally retailed for about £900, now at a fraction of the price, available online here.

will.i.am from the black eyed peas wore the black wool coat to an awards ceremony back in november 2009. and now the exact same coat made it's way to yoox.com! even more amazingly, the coat is now retailing for £308. if i remembered correctly, the coat originally retailed for £1,100+.
