Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3- We will lay down their arms for a minute and call a truce. The current vs. MW3 BF3 thing is so charged as Sega vs. Nintendo classic schoolyard fights off the day, but as we all learned growing up, there is actually room for both. Strong supporters of any brand will continue to throw their hate grenades in any way, but as someone who sees reasons for both brands, I'm honestly sitting on the fence waiting for this holiday season and playing through both games.
Part of that is because I am very excited about the closure in the story of Modern Warfare, but like all the other entries, I'm not holding my breath in the single player campaign that all that long (although that Schofield otherwise) so it's good to know that Modern Warfare 3 not only come packaged with the Spec Ops criticism cooperative missions, but a survival mode to boot.
Call it par for the course today, but without directly stealing zombies Treyarch, Infinity Ward needed to strengthen its offer out of a single player and multiplayer, while Spec Ops co-op is welcome, there is nothing wrong with adding a little more for those of us who like to put all the presents under the hood of the game.
Fortunately in this year's E3, Activision is offering up their hands with the new mode. In essence what he is capable of playing on a map taken from the main portion of the game (I guess it will be able to learn the best out of multiplayer or Elite), and is responsible for dealing with different waves of enemies. You earn money for each enemy killed, and the wave down, and then said you can use cash to buy new weapons, perks, killstreaks or articles.
The waves come in thick and fast, but like most games Horde mode, everything was distributed at a good pace from the start. Waves coming from different areas of the map, too.
The variation of the enemy is pretty gnarly though. You have your normal grunts, followed eventually by the dogs - all pretty normal until the next wave of dogs entering the explosive use of bridges and wanting to hug the shit out of you (and blow up). Variation of the map, items enemy, load-outs and barely addressed. However, from a simple experience, the way everything was satisfactorily frenetic pace. The balance is very tight in AI, cash flow, number of enemies and the total variation (in this case), but I really want to live anymore.
While the mode is not anything new to the genre, is at least new to modern warfare, and for anyone who wants a break from the complicated history of the series, co-op or multiplayer Spec Ops, this is certainly a breath of fresh air.
