The 'New Civility' (Cont'd): Obama: Don't use debt "as a gun against the head" of American to keep tax breaks

UPDATE: The video:
More hypocrisy from our community organizer-in-chief who had previously called for a 'new civility:'
President Barack Obama says the debt ceiling should not "be used as a gun against the heads" of Americans to retain breaks for corporate jet owners or oil and gas companies.

Obama is seeking to reduce the deficit, in part, through new tax revenue raised by closing loopholes and tax subsidies. Among the loopholes cited by the White House are tax benefits for corporate jets. He also has called for ending subsidies to oil and gas companies, a proposal that would generate about $40 billion in revenue over 10 years.
Together, that extra revenue over 10 years won't even make up for Obama's deficit for one month. But let me get back to Obama's hypocrisy on violent rhetoric. Back in January after the Giffords shooting, Obama called for a "new civility," but himself has been the most uncivil President since I became politically aware decades ago. There of course are these recent quotes:

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama in July 2008

“We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.” Obama to Latinos, October 2010

"I think it's tempting not to negotiate with hostage takers, unless the hostage gets harmed. In this case the hostage is the American people and I was not willing to see them get harmed," Obama on keeping taxes from increasing, December 6, 2010

"A Republican majority in Congress would mean "hand-to-hand combat" on Capitol Hill for the next two years, threatening policies Democrats have enacted to stabilize the economy," Obama, October 6, 2010

"Here's the problem: It's almost like they've got -- they've got a bomb strapped to them and they've got their hand on the trigger. You don't want them to blow up. But you've got to kind of talk them, ease that finger off the trigger."  Obama on banks, March 2009

"I want you to argue with them and get in their face!Barack Obama, September 2008

I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!Obama on ACORN Mobs, March 2010

“We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“ Obama on the private sector, June 2010
Lost down the memory hole was this one during  the oil spill where the mouth of Obama - Press Secretary Robert Gibbs - said that O would be keeping "a boot to the throat" of BP: Video of violent right-wing rhetoric: "we will keep a boot to the throat"
The 'new civility' my left foot!
