Pelosi: $2.4 Trillion Should Last ONLY 18 MONTHS

In just a short year and a half, the national debt will stand at an absolutely absurd $17 trillion:
The debt problem will be even harder to deal with then than it was now. The can can only be kicked down the road so far. As Margaret Thatcher was quoted as saying, 'the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other peoples money.'

Since when does the federal government bear the burden of education funding? It is the single biggest item on my property tax which is local, not federal. Also, the rich pay far more than their fair share, while the bottom 51% pay no federal income tax at all, and the bottom 40% actually get money back.

UPDATE: Via memeorandumPelosi: My Deficit Committee Members Will Oppose All Entitlement Benefit Cuts. It doesn't matter that entitlements alone cost more than 100% of federal tax revenues from all sources, does it?

Flashback: Pelosi says "Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program!"

Remember this (Video: Pelosi says "Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program!")?:
Pelosi said this July 1, 2010. Just over a year later, where are those jobs? Instead of more jobs, we have an economy in a tailspin: WE'RE BEING LIED TO! First Quarter GDP revised down to 0.4% from 1.9% With the unemployment rate at 9.2% 2 1/2 years after Obama promised it would never go above 8, we have fewer jobs and a buttload of more debt. With all those on the unemployment dole, shouldn't we be having an economic banana?

By Pelosi's logic, we should all quit our jobs and become unemployed artists and musicians, because you know - that would be awesome for the economy. This woman isn't qualified to sit on the local school board. She is an absolute and utter idiot and is 3rd in line for the Presidency. We are truly living in a kakistocracy where the least qualified among us are running the show. From FoxNews last year:
Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.
How about we just ditch everything else and make sure every able bodied American is unemployed then? Um - wait a minute. Isn't that precisely what Obama is doing?
Talking to reporters, the House speaker was defending a jobless benefits extension against those who say it gives recipients little incentive to work. By her reasoning, those checks are helping give somebody a job.

"It injects demand into the economy," Pelosi said, arguing that when families have money to spend it keeps the economy churning. "It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name."

Pelosi said the aid has the "double benefit" of helping those who lost their jobs and acting as a "job creator" on the side.
Good. Grief. Nancy Pelosi can be summed up in this one phrase: the wheel is spinning, but the hamster's dead. And the results are always bad.

Flashback: Whatever happened to those 400,000 jobs Pelosi promised 'almost immediately' after ObamaCare passed?

ObamaCare was signed into law March 23, 2010. It is now the end of July 2011. Nancy Pelosi promised that 400,000 jobs would be created "almost immediately" once ObamaCare was signed into law:
Where are those 400,000 jobs? Or the millions that Pelosi said will be coming down the pike? They don't exist. Nor will they. From Mike Brownfield over at The Michigan View: This is gonna hurt
When Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made her pitch for Obamacare, she claimed that the bill isn't just about health care, but that it's also about creating new jobs - 400,000 to be exact.
Unfortunately for Pelosi - and for America - it turns out that her claims are flat out wrong, and that Obamacare could kill between 120,000 and 700,000 jobs by 2019.
To get it straight from the horse's mouth, Pelosi said of Obamacare, "In its life it will create 4 million jobs, 400,000 jobs almost immediately. Jobs, again, in the health care industry but in the entrepreneurial world as well."
Pelosi's claims were based on a report by the Center for American Progress (CAP), a liberal Washington, D.C., think tank. It turns out, however, that the numbers CAP relied on to make its prediction are incorrect. A new analysis by the Beacon Hill Institute (BHI) paints quite a different picture.
According to BHI, the CAP study based its claims on the assumption that Obamacare would save $683 billion over ten years, which would create incentives for companies to create new jobs. CAP's assumptions, though, were wrong.
You can find the entire report at this link. Since Obama is running a jobs deficit of 6 million (he promised 3.5 million new jobs with the stimulus package by 2010 but has instead lost almost 3 million), can we call this Pelosi's jobs deficit? She promised 4 million jobs with ObamaCare, 400,000 which we were supposed to see by now that did not materialize at all, and 4 million in the future while this report says 700,000 will be killed. That's almost a  5 million jobs deficit. That is like in Obama league. She must be so proud.

Meanwhile. we're seeing the results of ObamaCare: WE'RE BEING LIED TO! First Quarter GDP revised down to 0.4% from 1.9% And more specific with respect to ObamaCare (Report: Private sector job creation ground to a halt almost instantly after Obamacare passed), from The Heritage Foundation:

As the Heritage report explains, Obamacare discourages hiring in three important ways:
  • Businesses with fewer than 50 workers have a strong incentive to maintain this size, which allows them to avoid the mandate to provide government-approved health coverage or face a penalty;
  • Businesses with more than 50 workers will see their costs for health coverage rise—they must purchase more expensive government-approved insurance or pay a penalty; and
  • Employers face considerable uncertainty about what constitutes qualifying health coverage and what it will cost. They also do not know what the health care market or their health care costs will look like in four years. This makes planning for the future difficult.
Democrats once touted that Obamacare would create jobs, but the data underscore the reality that that’s not true for the private sector. The only jobs Obamacare created were within the new agencies and layers of bureaucracy the law added to the federal government.
Who could have seen this coming? I'll tell you who - me. From a prior post of mine from October 2010: Anyone notice that the economy flatlined the minute after ObamaCare was signed into law? My graphic from back then:
I opined:
I claim, based on the US Department of Labor data that ObamaCare is likely the causal factor for causing the stagnation that we have now. And just wait until the inflation kicks in from the overspending, borrowing and printing of money by this regime. It'll make the stagflation of the Carter era seem like Utopia. Obama is focused only on his liberal agenda, not on jobs

Pelosi: Boehner went to ‘dark side’ or something

No more deficit spending!
Via memeorandumPelosi: Boehner went to ‘dark side’
Right before the House voted to reject a Democratic debt-ceiling plan, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi didn’t mince words.

Pelosi pulled out a Star Wars reference on the House floor, saying that Speaker John Boehner “chose to go to the dark side” and court the most conservative members of his conference, rather than work on a bipartisan compromise.
And yes, this comes from the same Nancy "we have to pass the bill to find what is in it" Pelosi that rammed through ObamaCare without a single Republican vote, and with no one having read the bill.
It’s time for us to end this theater of the absurd,” she said. “It’s time for us to get real.”

The House struck down the Democratic measure, 173-246, in a vote that was designed to fail. Boehner brought the measure up under a special rule that required a two-third majority for passage.
Curious that The Politico decided to bring that up since the vote didn't even get a majority and 11 Democrats voted with the GOP making it about as bipartisan as it could get in this day and age. The video of Pelosi's hypocritical shrillage:
Just remember: Good news: National Debt Has Increased $5 Trillion Since Nancy Pelosi Vowed, "No New Deficit Spending". I agree with Jack Cafferty on this one thing at least: "what a horrible woman!"

Pelosi: 'We're trying to save the WORLD' from GOP budget, "we’re trying to SAVE LIFE ON THIS PLANET as we know it today"

Talk about pulling out all the rhetorical stops. If she truly believes that slowing down the growth of the US federal government will harm the planet, she's either delusional, stupid, or both. From The Gretawire: Leader Pelosi is trying to “save world from Republican budget”
Urgent: Pelosi on today’s vote: “What we’re trying to do is save the world from the Republican budget….we’re trying to save life on this planet as we know it today.”

Per Pergram-Capitol Hill

Off-cam from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as she walked out of the presser. A reporter continued to press her about the pending resignation of Rep. David Wu (D-OR).

Somewhat exasaparated Pelosi said that Wu “is the least thing on my (mind).

Then…

“What we’re trying to do is save the world from the Republican budget,” she said. “We’re trying to save life on this planet as we know it today.”
GET A GRIP, WOMAN! This isn't the first time by the way. From back in 2008, via The Politico: Pelosi: 'I'm trying to save the planet'
With fewer than 20 legislative days before the new fiscal year begins Oct. 1, the entire appropriations process has largely ground to a halt because of the ham-handed fighting that followed Republican attempts to lift the moratorium on offshore oil and gas exploration. And after promising fairness and open debate, Pelosi has resorted to hard-nosed parliamentary devices that effectively bar any chance for Republicans to offer policy alternatives.

“I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet,” she says impatiently when questioned. “I will not have this debate trivialized by their excuse for their failed policy.”
Good grief. How do people like this get into any kind of power whatsoever? She shouldn't be trusted sweeping floors! Just a few choice clips of how much of an idiot this woman truly is:

Awww: Newt Gingrich Regrets Pelosi Global Warming Ad

An update on this from June: Gingrich: ‘Strategic Blunder’ for Palin to Mock Obama as ‘Community Organizer’. Me: Worse ‘Strategic Blunder’ For Gingrich to Have 'Wide Stance' on Couch with Nancy Pelosi and Mock Science via Global Warming Hoax. Via Stacy McCain (aka The Other McCain): Gingrich: ‘Strategic Blunder’ for Palin to Mock Obama as ‘Community Organizer’

Republicans, including Sarah Palin and Rudy Giuliani, made a "strategic blunder" by making a joke of Barack Obama's work as a community organizer, Newt Gingrich says in a new book about the radical ACORN group.

It was "not helpful" for Palin and Giuliani to mock community organizing in their speeches at the 2008 Republican National Convention, Gingrich tells investigative reporter Matthew Vadum in his new book, Subversion Inc. The GOP's mockery "trivialized Obama and Obama is not a trivial person," Gingrich said in an exclusive interview with Vadum featured in the book...
Far more egregious than the above, which I consider a non-issue anyway, is Gringrich getting his wide stance up with Nancy Pelosi all comfy on a couch together lecturing us about having to buy into the global warming hoax when the actual scientific data rather than showing a warming planet is showing a cooling one. The infamous ad:
Ugh. I still feel like blowing chunks every time I see it. Sure didn't seem like Gingrich was hoodwinked into that ad. But he now says he regrets it:
Pretty much a non apology apology of sorts. But it's too late Newt. You have exposed yourself as a rube buying into a hoax that the left wants to use as a pretext to abdicate our sovereignty and herald in a one-world government. Thanks but no thanks.

Good grief: Pelosi says Obama has more patience than Job of the Bible

Yeah - thee Job. The upright, righteous man in the Book of Job in the Old Testament of the Bible that was tested by having his wealth, his family, and then his health taken from him only to be returned to him later as he remained steadfast and didn't curse God. In that regard, this comparison is nothing short of INSANE:
I'm pretty sure that Job - the "man of patience" - didn't take his ball and go home when things got tough. Obama did just that the other day in a hissy fit. But Pelosi's insane analogies went even further at another even: 'Nobody Can Out Debate Him' Pelosi's Creepy Obama Worship On Debt Crisis
How is it that Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann are labeled as stupid by the press and the dingbat above gets away with absurd statement every time she opens her mouth for years on end?
