Ryan Gosling on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" in Balenciaga

man of the moment, mr. ryan gosling, was on "late night with jimmy fallon" in new york city on wednesday. he brought along his dog "george", stylishly dressed with one red sock. word on the street is that mr. gosling wore a black suit from balenciaga. it seemed to fit him well, but i am really more excited about his beautiful black suede slip-ons, the skull print t-shirt and the right amount of mankle.

turns out, mr gosling wore a t-shirt from musician steve earle's "copperhead road" album. interesting choice, perhaps he is a fan of earle's. love the pairing of the band t-shirt with the classic black suit. and classic clean cut shoes of course.

if i can suggest alternatives for mr gosling, the grey knitwear from markus lupfer with sequinned skull feature should work well with his attire. or the classic navy blue skull print t-shirt from alexander mcqueen? finish off with the delectable lui morais 14k gold skull bracelet and we'll have a winner.

ryan gosling is one of my style idols. he does laidback nonchalance, but also scrub up incredibly well in black tie. he is a very interesting character to watch, passing through airports, at red carpets and/or at his moving screening. at yesterday's special screening of his new movie "blue valentine" at the tribeca grill loft in new york city, he looked effortlessly stylish in a black 3.1 phillip lim fall winter 2010 leather jacket.

perhaps in a bid to match co-star michelle williams' erdem dress, mr gosling drapped the rather dubious looking scarf around his neck too.

i personally think it's a great leather jacket, and one retailing for less than £1,000 is an even better investment. i love it that ryan gosling removed the belt from the jacket (you could just about see the belt loop below the square pocket). it's a great move, i find the belt a little too fussy.

perfect occasion for the house of dsquared2 to dress nakata but for some reason they did not.

i really like the color and fit of the jacket on nakata, i think it's a great piece for him. however if i can nitpick, i really dislike the belt. it's just one too many feature for the jacket.

south korean actor lee min-ho attended the "pink play" concert in seoul on friday, wearing a tiger/zebra print cardigan from 3.1 phillip lim fall winter 2010. i like it that only 2 buttons were done up, giving it a very nonchalant style. love the whole laidback styling with the grey t-shirt and black fitted denims. nice.

the animal prints were rather prominent in phillip lim's fw10 collection, appearing in capes, knits, scarfs etc. animal prints are always a tough trend to pull out of the runway, but min-ho looked really good and believable in it.

fans of min-ho, rejoice. the 3.1 phillip lim "mid grey tiger intarsia" cardigan is now available from my-wardrobe.com. i'm warming to it, what say you?

a peak at my-wardrobe.com's fall winter 2010 selection

online retailer my-wardrobe.com celebrated their 4th birthday yesterday. to celebrate, they were giving out £400 of vouchers every hour to their facebook fans. was at work all day and missed out on that, but i made sure i did not miss out on their press day later that evening to have a peek at what would be stocked come fall winter 2010.

one of the items that everyone was talking about, was the rayban wayfarers. these were reworked, and the "metal" bits on the side were actually made from 18k white gold. the limited edition sunglasses will retail for about £300+. i thought that was very very cool. if i won that £400 voucher it is going straight for these sunnies.

exclusives for fall winter included this corduroy jacket from universal works. i love the multi layering, and the corduroy is really soft to the touch.

and some of my favourite shoes from the evening:

i really really love this pair of leather and canvas sneakers from paul smith. i am so getting these when they are available online.

edwin jeans is one of the labels that the e-tailer will stock come fall winter 2010. their denims are amazing, the colors so beautifully aged, i love the vintage feel.

on display was also a very soft and lightweight padded jacket from polo ralph lauren. i love the soft auburn orange, the subtle drawstring ropes and the worn out american flag on the sleeve, love. i wish winter will come sooner.
